My Elliptical Is Here!!

It came Friday.  And last night, I decided that, all by myself, I would attempt to assemble this monstrosity with all four kids hovering about me.  Let’s just say….BAD IDEA!!  But somehow I accomplished the never-ending task of putting together the very first piece of fitness equipment that I have ever owned in my life.  Yeah…I know…that’s sad, but true.

Anyway, with it put together, being that the assembly felt like a workout itself, I decided not to try it for a bit.  Then later I got on and attempted to maneuver the thing.  Man…I know that I’m overweight…but this was one of the hardest things I’ve tried to do in a long time.  Also, I’m only 5 FT tall, and I think my legs may be too short.  I’m gonna keep trying, but seriously, I was only able to last maybe a minute or two.  I’d love some tips if anyone has any??

I’m Getting An Elliptical!

Yay!! As a belated Mother’s Day gift, I just ordered a Weslo Elliptical Trainer. Actually, we were waiting for our stimulus check, and it came today, we were so excited! You know…just doing our part to boost the economy. LOL

Here’s the one that I purchased. I’ve read some good reviews, and of course there were a couple out there not so good, but more good than bad, so hopefully it will work out. I’ve got an extended warranty, so in case something happens to it, I’ll have that to fall back on. I just figured it would work better for me to do my workouts at home, rather than going to a gym. Just more convenient. If anyone has any feedback concerning this product, please feel free to leave it in the comments. I’d like to hear anything anyone has to say about it, good or bad.

Propel Fit Water - I’m Lovin’ It!

The other day I was given the opportunity to try some free samples of Propel Fit Water, so I decided to write a review of this wonderful product. First, I want to say, that I love the idea of being able to supplement your diet and your water intake with something that will not only help fulfill your daily requirements of water, but is also full of vitamins and minerals that are essential to any diet.

I received 3 different flavor varieties of the Propel Fit Water. Kiwi Strawberry, Lemon, & Grape. All were VERY good, but I have to say that my favorite was definitely the Kiwi Strawberry. Another thing I love about this water, is that it only has 25 calories per 20 oz serving, that’s the whole bottle folks!

You should definitely check out Propel Fit Water, it has a lot fewer calories than some of the other leading brands of fitness water. Here’s a short video!

Get To Walking! - Weight Watchers Magazine’s 2008 Walking Clinic

Well…it’s time. I think I am at a point where I really need to bump up my activity levels. I plan to start walking. Weight Watchers has recently announced their Weight Watchers Magazine’s 2008 Walking Clinic.

weight-watchers-2008-walking-clinic.jpgA year long total-body-fitness program designed to challenge and motivate walkers at all levels. Whether you’re a beginner who wants to become a regular walker, an intermediate strider who is serious about reshaping her body, or an advanced trekker ready to take on the ultimate challenge of walking a marathon, we’ve got what you need.

Click here to read more and view the walking plans.

Since I’m a beginner, it suggest that I should start out only walking for 10 minutes a day (3 times a week) my first 3 weeks, then I will increase it to 15 minutes a day for the next 3 weeks after that, and so on. I will also be required to do 2 days a week of cardio starting at 10 minutes each day for the first 3 weeks, then gradually increasing that as well. They suggest taking a couple of days off a week to allow your body and muscles to recover.

Sounds like a great plan and I can’t wait to get started!
