Daily Food & Exercise Journal – Sunday 8-3-08

Eh….not so good day.  I mean I didn’t totally blow it, and I did manage to get on my elliptical yesterday.  Just splurged a little more than I would have like to.  I did drink a lot of water yesterday, so hopefully that will make up for my mishaps.  I’m going to the grocery store today to get all of my “healthy food”, something I had planned to do over the weekend, but didn’t happen due to hubby sleep & work schedule and me not wanting to drag 4 kids to the grocery store.  He’s on vacation all week, so I should be able to swing it.  I’m also planning to get some Fat Free milk, so no more 2% for me.  Ok, here we go:

Breakfast – Splurge #1 – Had 2 Bagelfuls instead of 1 (oops…might have to stop buying these)

Snack – Fiber One bar (I know, like I needed a snack) & 1 cup of 2% Milk

Lunch – 2 Slices of leftover Think & Crispy Cheese Pizza

Dinner – Michelina’s Lean Gourmet Shrimp Scampi and Pasta

Snack – Splurge #2 – 4 Chips Ahoy & 1 cup of 2% Milk (had every intention on eating just 2, but didn’t happen)

Water – 6 8oz cups of water

Exercise – 10 minutes on elliptical (going to try and shoot for 15 minutes next time…wish me luck!!)

Daily Food & Exercise Journal – Saturday 8-2-08

No exercise to report for yesterday, and I did “so-so” on my eating.  I had a chicken biscuit from McD’s (half at breakfast and half 3 hours later for a snack) and I did have pizza, but I kept my portions in check.  I got up and decided to weigh this morning, and I showed a 1.2 lb loss.  So very happy about that!  Here’s the rest of what went down yesterday.

Breakfast – Half of a Chicken Biscuit from McD’s.  I find sometimes if I’m craving something that I haven’t had in a while, I just go ahead and let myself have it, eat half of it, then the other half later. Works for me.

Snack – other half of biscuit

Lunch – 2 Slices of Thin & Crispy Cheese Pizza from Pizza Hut, and a small side salad with mixed greens and Lite Ranch Dressing

Dinner – Lean Cuisine Panini & Sun Chips

Snack – Fiber One Bar & 1 cup of 2% Milk

Water – 6 8oz cups

Exercise – Zilch

Daily Food & Exercise Journal – Friday 8-1-08

Breakfast – 3/4 cup of cereal & 1/2 cup of 2% Milk

Snack – Fiber One Bar (Gotta love ‘em!) & 1 Cup of Milk

Lunch – Lean Cuisine Panini & one serving of Sun Chips

Dinner – Lean Cuisine Spaghetti & Meat Sauce

Snack – Fiber One Bar & 1 Cup of Milk

Water – 4 8oz cups

Exercise – 10 Minutes on Elliptical while kiddos were napping!

Daily Food & Exercise Journal – Thursday 7-31-08

Yesterday definitely could have been better.  I didn’t get a chance to exercise, so I’m pretty bummed about that.  Still counting the days until the kids start school, its hard to get out of the house alone, or try to exercise while they are here, because they won’t leave me alone, or are always needing something, so I’m not able to get a consistent workout going.  Does anyone else have this problem? LOL

Anyway, here’s the skinny on what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast – Fiber One Bar & 1 cup of 2% Milk

Lunch – McD’s Grilled Club Premium Chicken (scooped off mostly all of the mayo and no fries)

Snack – 5 Ritz crackers & 1 oz of cheddar cheese

Dinner – Chicken Santa Fe Wrap with 1 cup of mixed veggies (green beans, corn, carrots & peas)

Snack – Fiber One Bar & 1 cup of 2% Milk

Water – 4 8oz cups

Exercise – Nada :(

Daily Food & Exercise Journal – Wednesday 7-30-08

I had a great day yesterday!  Well, actually I skipped lunch, which is really a “no-no”, but I ate a late breakfast and had a snack in between, so all is good.  Here’s what happened:

Breakfast – 3/4 cup of cereal and 1/2 cup of 2% milk

Snack – 1 Fiber One Bar and a cup of 2% milk

Dinner – I made a great Mexican style wrap with a Weight Watchers Smart Ones Santa Fe Chicken dinner as the filling, sprinkled it with some cheddar cheese, and I wrapped it up in a La Tortilla Factory Smart & Delicious Soft Wrap (a whopping 13g of Fiber!!), then I heated it for a bit in the microwave.  It was really delicious, and very filling.  Should have taken a picture.  I may make another for dinner tonight, so I’ll be sure to snap one.

Bedtime Snack – 2 choc chip cookies and a cup of 2% milk (I know a slight splurge)

Water – 6 8oz cups of water (woohoo!!)

Exercise – 10 minute Walk – Actually got to get out and walk yesterday after we had a nice rain, so it had cooled off a bit.  It felt great!

I’m basically working with what I have on hand right now as far as food goes.  I know I need to add some fruits and veggies.  Tomorrow is payday, so I can’t wait to get to the grocery store.

Would love to hear any suggestions about what I should buy.  Got any ideas???
