Dean Tornabene’s Lookcut Method

I stumbled across a great website I’d like to share with you guys.  Dean Tornabene’s Lookcut is a great resource for weight loss news, articles and amazing dietary supplements and products.  It has a plethora of information.  I particularly found his section on Weight Loss Myths very interesting.  And he has a Weight Loss Article index with a comprehensive list of weight loss topics.  Anything thing from, how to tackle belly fat to how you can minimize weight gain during the holidays (something I am totally interested in).  He also has a monthly newsletter you can subscribe to that provides weight loss secrets. tips on healthy living, long term weight loss insights that will help keep you on the inside track to permanent change.

Here’s a brief list of some of the dietary supplements he offers and I’m very interested in trying:

Coco Trim - The Core Issues of Weight Control

  • Fights fat from 8 angles
  • Promotes pH Balance, antioxidant balance, cortisol control
  • Equals many servings of fruit and vegetables

Slim Burst - Focused Weight Loss

  • Encourages stubborn metabolisms
  • Thermogenic support for increased fat loss
  • Appetite support

Cst Boost - Jump Start Your Fat Loss

  • Aids acceleration of fat loss
  • Helps overcome dieters plateau
  • For men and women.

What’s also great is he offers a 7 day trial offer of some of his products.  The Slim Burst/Cst Boost combo trial package is only $2.95 for S&H.  Another product that also caught my eye, since I never get enough veggies and fruits into my diet, is the Body Glo Superfood.  It has over 70 natural ingredients, with a full spectrum of fruits and veggies.  Definitely something I would love to try and the price is very reasonable, the only complaint I have is I can’t find anything on each product page about how long the supply lasts.  I might be missing something though.

But overall, I would say that this is a very resourceful site, and you guys should go check it out!

Interested in the Heart?

Coming from a family that has a history of heart disease, I am very aware of the many problems that being overweight can cause.  Although hypertension and diabetes are on my priority list of concerns, I am most concerned with the heart conditions associated with my obesity.

Today I came across the website, TheHeart.org.  The first thing that stood out when I visited TheHeart.org was that it was associated with WebMD.  Just that association alone led me to believe that this was most definitely a website I could trust, and from there I decided to browse around.  At TheHeart.org, their purpose is to basically provide information to cardiologists, referring physicians, and other health care professionals such as nurses and lab technicians on how to care for people with heart and circulation disorders.  They also provide information on prevention, which is very important to me.

Although, this website requires membership (free for health care professionals who are members of recognized professional associations), it provides a plethora of information regarding Acute Coronary Syndrome, Hypertension, Heart Failure to name a few.  Not only is it composed of articles from HeartWire, but you will also find features such as informative videos and polls.

I would definitely recommend this website for health professionals in the cardiology field.  With membership, they will have access to unique continuous medical education content, be able to join in conversations in the blogs and discussion forums, and receive exclusive newsletters related to their field of interest.

3rd Chance Fitness - A Review

A couple of months back, Matthew over at 3rd Chance Fitness, inquired about advertising on my site.  At the time I didn’t have an advertising package developed, but despite that, Matthew and I were able to work out great deal.  Yesterday, I spoke with Matthew again, and agreed to do a review of his website.

When Matthew and Karen Perry first decided to start their supplement company, their main focus was to create something for people that were trying to get motivated, healthy and back on track. Matthew has been an avid health and fitness enthusiast his entire life.  He worked for 8 years in the health club industry as part owner and manager of two successful health and fitness centers.  This is where he honed his personal training skills and discovered his enthusiasm for helping people create healthier lives.  His passion led him and his wife, Karen, to create 3rd Chance Fitness and Muscle Memory whey protein powder, the first in a line of health and nutritional supplementsClick here, if you would like to read an interesting story as to how they came up with the name, 3rd Chance Fitness.

Matthew and Karen’s main product at 3rd Chance Fitness is their Muscle Memory™ whey protein powder.  It is made from lean animal sources of protein which are the most complete and contain all the essential amino acids necessary to build new protein. Whey protein powder is known to be a particularly excellent source of protein because it’s naturally complete and is easily digestible.  Muscle Memory™ whey protein powder is naturally low in fat and calories and provides a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals.  It is also supplemented with an all natural sweetener called Stevia.  A plant native to tropical South America and Central America, is commonly grown for its sweet leaves and is used as a dietary supplement for its many benefits.  Read more about this amazing all natural sweetener here.

In exchange for the review, Matthew has agreed to send me a full sample of his Muscle Memory™ whey protein powder!  And I can’t wait to try it!  So stay tuned, I plan to give you guys the low down on it.  If you would like to read what others have though about it, be sure and check out the testimonials page.  They also have sections dedicated to healthy recipes and great protein shake ideas.  So check those out too!

Dotti’s Weight Loss Zone

Hey! Check out this lady’s website. Dotti’s Weight Loss Zone. Even though her site reminds me of a web page that I used to have through Geocities, her site is AMAZING! She provides anything you need, from recipes to lists of restaurant’s menu items with nutritional values.  And man you wouldn’t believe the list of restaurants, it just goes on and on.  Very helpful when planning to dine out and she even adds WW Points values for the Weight Watchers dieters out there.
