I’ve been browsing the net for a good food scale.  Everyone knows that using appropriate portions and measuring your food, is a major key in weight loss success.  I came across a great one at Buy.com, it is the Escali Penduline Wall Mountable Digital Scale, and it’s on sale for $59.95 with free shipping. I like that it’s wall mountable. I have very little counter space, so this would be ideal for me.

Speaking of Buy.com, have you ever seen those Howie Mandel Buy.com commercials?? He surprises people and shows them how easy it is to shop online vs. going to the mall.  The one where he shows and office worker how to “bling” is pretty funny.  Just go to YouTube and search “Howie Mandel Bling” and it should come up!

Wow, I’m pretty shocked that I haven’t posted on this blog since….umm…..January!!  That’s a really long time, and a lot has happened in the mean time.  I wish I could say that I’ve lost tons of weight, and have some amazing before and after pictures for you, but that just isn’t the case.  I will say, that I have maintained my current weight, so that’s a plus.

We finally got our family moved to a really great location with a wonderful school district.  My MIL lives only about 2 miles away, so that has been nice.  She has been a major help!  We are currently doing the apartment thing, until we get our house sold, then plan on house hunting some time next year.  But it has it’s benefits.  We have a swimming pool and a gym, which I plan to make full use of once the kids are in school…only 2 more weeks!

In the meantime, I’ve been thinking of going back to work as well.  The cost of living is just a tad bit higher here, but still completely worth it.  I have experience in accounts payable, collections, and I briefly worked in the retail industry, but spending all day long with barcode scanners isn’t my idea of fun, so probably won’t go that route.  I’ve got my resume updated and have been sending it out for various positions, so we’ll see.
