One of the great things I previously mentioned about Steven’s job is the fact they started him on insurance immediately following being hired. That’s just usually unheard of, most places require that you be with the company for atleast 3 to 6 months. And it was definitely something that we needed. After the first of the year, I’m planning on getting an appointment with an internist for a complete physical, bloodwork, the whole nine yards. It’s been well over a year, and I know that it is so important I keep a check on things.
On the downside, this company doesn’t offer very good life insurance. They do for the employee, but not the dependents. So, I am on the market for life insurance. I’ve considered term life insurance, but just not sure which route to go. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I know term life is less expensive than whole life but whole life has cash value. I’m also in the market and unsure so an updated post with your findings would be great.

I don’t know much about life insurance but that is great that your husband’s company offers health insurance right away. My husband just started a new job last month and we are still waiting on health insurance. He’s only working 32 hours a week but I’m pretty sure he still gets the benefits. If he doesn’t then we are in trouble because I need to see a doctor soon! I wish you all the best in 2009!
