Just wanted to touch base with everyone. I’m still maintaining my weight, so no gains or losses to report. We are just busy preparing for the holidays. To be honest, I’ll be glad when it’s over. Money is tight this year, so Steven and I won’t be getting each other anything for Christmas this year. Atleast, nothing big like one of those cool tv lifts for our flat panel (maybe income tax time). We are just more or less concetrating on stuff for the kids. Which is fine with me.
Steven has been working for a brand new casino in a town about an hour north of here. He was previously working in Baton Rouge, but we just couldn’t see ourselves moving there. This other casino was offering some great incentives (higher base pay, immediate insurance, etc), so he just couldn’t pass it up. Turns out the schools are great there too, and there is one in particular that has special education classes set up for autistic children. Not sure if I had mentioned this before on this blog, but my 7 year old son, Christopher was diagnosed with autism at the age of five. This school would be a perfect solution for us. So we are preparing to move after the first of the year.
But right now, we are just trying to get through and enjoy the holidays, and trying not to let the stresses of money dampen our Christmas spirit. Today we are putting up our outside decorations, so I’m excited about that, maybe I’ll post a picture later. Until then…I’m out!
Thanks for stopping by Making Mommy Hot! Have a great day!

I think maintaining is something to be very proud of. I will be happy if I maintain through December…….if a lb or two wants to drop off that’s okay too
I was wondering what happened with the move. It’s so important to not rush a move. Do it when you are ready
Money is tight here too. We are finding creative ways to make the holidays special without spending too much…..lots of family things with everyone bringing food etc. Just getting together makes it special
