It took years to get to the point where I was willing to buy bottled water. Now the only time I use it is when I want something really cold. I save the bottle and reuse it afterwards.

I stopped drinking bottled water when I realized and read an article that tap water is just the same…they just put it in a bottle…saved some bucks to us!

Great post! My family stopped using bottled water a year ago. We invested in a Brita water pitcher. Not only am I doing something better for the environment, but for my wallet as well.

A lot of people think bottled water is healthier but here in the UK there are more minerals in tap water than a lot of the bottled stuff…

We have to buy bottled water too because about 10 years ago they but in a water reclamation plant about 1/2 a mile away from our house.

No way do I want to chance drinking our well water now!

I enjoyed the article though and I think for most situations it’s best to go with tap.

My kids find it hard to believe that back when I was a kid “bottled water” wasn’t even invented yet. LOL

we have to buy water in our town. It’s very high in nitrates. There is a water filtering shop here. We pay 50 cents a gallon and reuse our own bottles. It has to go through the tests to stay in business. We have looked at filtering our own but it would come out the same in the long run.

We go through about 14 gallons a week so I wish our city water was better because it adds up!

Great article! I like to use Sigg bottles for my water. We have a great water filter for our fridge so that makes it easy for me.
