My Crazy Life

Uh…all I can say, is my life has been nuts over the past couple of weeks.  Major drama goin on.  We have been preparing for the Hurricane Gustav and it is possible we might be moving.  Hopefully, after things settle down a bit, I’ll be able to get things going again on Making Mommy Hot.  Until then, we could really use your thoughts and prayers over the next few days.  I’m mainly speaking for the people in the city of New Orleans and our Mississippi Gulf Coastal cities.  Gustav has been upgraded to a Category 4 hurricane and expected to “hold its own”.  It just doesn’t look good at all.  We should be fine here, but could still end up with a major power outage.  So that will be no picnic for sure.  But I’m more importantly worried for everyone else south of us.  I just can’t believe that we are dealing with this again.  Very scary times.

Thanks for stopping by Making Mommy Hot! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’ll be praying for you guys and everyone else that’s in the path of this awful hurricane. Be safe!

By the way, I tagged you. Check out my blog for more info. :)

Thanks Laura!

As of right now, Mr. Gustav is a cat.1 hurricane, and is not too powerful. The barges in LA are holding up, and the damage is not as bad as we all thought. I’m a little worried about Hanna though. They say on the weather channel that Gustav is adding to Hanna’s power (o_O) and that it’s going to run along the atlantic coast, but it’s possible that it might hit Florida’s panhandle (hope not).

This week has been pretty rough for me, too. Had to move into a new house, and Gustav just made my day all the more inconvenient. Just finished moving, but it’s still very bad over here. As I type this, I can hear the howling of the winds and I keep checking the window when I hear a loud noise, just to make sure nothing slammed into my car!

Hopefully this storm will blow over soon…

Keeping everyone in the path of the hurricanes in my prayers. I hope whatever God has planned for your family will bring all of you closer together and much happiness :) Moving is rough but sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise!

Hope everything went well and you and your family are safe. I am no where near hurricanes but each season my heart goes out to those who must deal with them.

@ Thaiger, thanks for the updates! And hope things aren’t too bad where you are!

@ Thanks Annette and Art by Mar for the wonderful words of support. Finally got back home yesterday. The kids seemed really happy to be home. Hopefully we’ll be able to get the ball rolling with moving and all.

I’ll pray that the Hurricane cools down before reaching your area ……
