There has been some controversy around it because of the fake sugar manufacturers...they DO NOT LIKE IT! And it is now approved, since 1990 to be sold in the US...but as a "supplement", not a "sweetener"...basically a bunch of red tape BS...Coca Cola is using it over seas and has tried to get it approved to be used in the US. And the fake sugar companies are fighting it, as it will cut them out of the picture...unfortunately in our world profits can out fight what is good for our people.
