Healthy You Challenge - Good News!

According to Weight Watchers online, and after I had recorded my weight last week, I am showing a 1.4 lb weight loss for this week, which puts me at 255.4, a total 28lbs that I’ve lost since January.  And I couldn’t be happier, and I really think journaling what I eat every day has kept me in check.  I will definitely be keeping this up, so stay tuned for my Daily Food & Exercise Journal entry later today!  I’m wondering though, Weight Watchers shows me with a 34.4 lb loss, because it is counting when I started Weight Watchers back in 2005.  At that time, I was at my highest weight of 289 lbs.  Should I be counting that as my starting weight?  I actually stopped going to Weight Watchers, and didn’t get back on my diet until over 2 years later.  Would love anyone’s opinion on that.

Yesterday, hubby started his vacation, so we’ve got some things planned this week.  Finishing up school supply shopping, “meet the teachers” events, tons of stuff to do around the house, and fresh new haircuts for the kiddos before they start school on Thursday!  Can’t you just sense my excitement?!!  Very exciting indeed.  Not just because I’ll have two less kids in the house during the day, it will be nice to get back to a routine and schedule, which also means I’ll really be able to kick off my workouts like I’ve been wanting to.  And it’s been a long time coming!

Well, I’ve got a new blog design to get loaded up on my other blog, go check it out in a few!

You’re doing awesome!!! I agree journaling does help. When I was doing WW I’d always look at my food journal at the end of the day & think “oh, I forgot about eating that…and that…and that”. Keep up the good work!

Journaling always kept me honest when I was on WW (i hope to get back to it again one of these days!)

I’d also use whatever WW has as your starting weight….in the end it’s the goal weight that matters. But if you think about it you were once that heavy and made it all the way to where you are now, so I say, it counts! =) Keep it up!

great news and super results Ruthie! I think I’d go with the starting weight from WW. I am ready for the school routine too. I just seem more productive in all aspects of my life when school is in session. We almost weigh the same ;) I was 256 this morning. Almost the same weight………another coincidence like the names Faith and Emma for our 22 month twins ;)

Ok then…I’m going with Smushpants! I’ve edited my starting weight to 289, so that puts me at a total of 34lbs lost!

Congrats on your loss! I just found your blog today. I will be back to read more.

Hi Ruthie! Congratulations on the weight loss. I would definitely go with the 289 pound starting weight. That’s awesome! I like your new blog design on Making Mommy Hot and My Mama Drama too!
