Well…it’s time. I think I am at a point where I really need to bump up my activity levels. I plan to start walking. Weight Watchers has recently announced their Weight Watchers Magazine’s 2008 Walking Clinic.
A year long total-body-fitness program designed to challenge and motivate walkers at all levels. Whether you’re a beginner who wants to become a regular walker, an intermediate strider who is serious about reshaping her body, or an advanced trekker ready to take on the ultimate challenge of walking a marathon, we’ve got what you need.
Click here to read more and view the walking plans.
Since I’m a beginner, it suggest that I should start out only walking for 10 minutes a day (3 times a week) my first 3 weeks, then I will increase it to 15 minutes a day for the next 3 weeks after that, and so on. I will also be required to do 2 days a week of cardio starting at 10 minutes each day for the first 3 weeks, then gradually increasing that as well. They suggest taking a couple of days off a week to allow your body and muscles to recover.
Sounds like a great plan and I can’t wait to get started!

Thanks! I would love to get an ipod! Can’t believe I don’t already have one yet. Thanks for stopping by!

I’m in the same boat as you (I’m even 5′0″ too, which makes the extra weight SO hard to hide!). I’m not quite motivated yet, though. I tried out the Eat Clean diet for a week or so and lost 5 lbs, but I can never stick with a diet or exercise plan.
I really need to get my butt in gear b/c I have my 20th HS class reunion coming up this fall!

Wow, Nichole! First of all, thanks for stopping by! We have quite a bit in common. This year is 20 years for me too! Although, we had a 3 year class (87, 88, 89) reunion last summer, so we won’t be doing one this year.
Oh! And love your fitness store BTW!
