From Hungry Girl’s Mouth

As I mentioned before, I receive a daily email from Hungry Girl every day. Each day the email focuses on something different. I meant to post about this sooner, but I’ve been quite busy working on one of my new blogs. Anyway, Wednesday, the email focused on the “Ask Hungry Girl”column. The reader had asked Hungry Girl about some good food choices high in fiber.

Read what they had to say:

“Dear Hungry Girl,

I’m looking for fun ways to get more fiber into my diet. I know all about the fruits and veggies that are high in fiber, but I am wondering if you can point me in the direction of some high-fiber foods that are more snacky or fun. Please help!”

fiber-one-bars.jpgIn Hungry Girl’s reply, she name a list of 10 foods that she reccommends. I’m not planning to list all of them, you can check them out here. There is one in particular, that I’d like rave about for a bit. The Fiber One Chewy Bars. OMG! They are soooo freakin’ good! And she’s right they are so filling. They range from 140 - 150 calories, 4 - 4.5 grams of fat, and best of all, 9 grams of fiber! And with anyone that is on Weight Watchers, you all know….fiber is the key. The higher the food is in fiber, the lower the POINTS® it will be. And here’s some more scoop on these infamous bars.

And yes, if you must ask, I have developed Hungry Girl’s Fiber One obsession! ;)
